When Frank Pepe Pizzeria opened in Waterbury in April 2017, it brought the New Haven apizza tradition to the heart of this area. The Waterbury location has quickly become a community staple, serving families and pizza lovers across the Greater Waterbury area who no longer have to make the trek down I-91 for a Frank Pepe Pizzeria fix. The coal-fired oven here bakes the same crust — thin, charred, slightly chewy — that Frank Pepe perfected in 1925. Same dough recipe and same ingredients. Just a new neighborhood to love it.
