Our classic Fresh Tomato Pie pizza pairs well with most of the beverages on our menu but with a Peroni, it’s something special. A true taste of Italy, this duo combines the old-world flavor of our Fresh Tomato Pie with Italy’s favorite domestically brewed beer. This combination will bring visions of eating in a Neapolitan town square or ‘piazza’ in Italian, as you watch the day slowly turn to night over the Bay of Naples…
White Clam- White Wine or Peroni
Paring Seafood with white wine is a staple of food pairings and holds true with our famous White Clam Pizza. Our white wine, which boasts notes of acidity and delicate fruitfulness, balances out the bold taste of our fresh clams. In addition to the white wine pairing with the pie’s star ingredient, local clams, it also brings out the freshness of the mozzarella we use! If not a fan of white wine, a Peroni should get the job done as well!
Shrimp and Bacon- Sam Adams Octoberfest
It was easy coming up with the Shrimp and Bacon specialty pie with it being one of our favorite appetizers on its own. Adding it on top of a pizza just came naturally, then paring it with a beer? Now we’re talking! Aside from the Italian made Peroni we have on our menu, much like our ingredients, we prefer to stay local to the area. Sam Adams brews its beer right outside of Boston and is named after one of Americas most influential founding fathers. A truly local taste, this combination will keep you coming back for more!
Amanti Della Carne- Red wine
As white wine pairs with seafood so does red wine with land-grazing meat. The Amanti Della Carne is a collection of meatballs, pepperoni, sausage, and bacon with crushed Italian tomatoes and mozzarella, all on one pie. This Italian meat lovers’ pie pairs great with our bold, dry red wine which balances out the flavors and saltiness of all that delicious meat. Try it during the cooler months to warm you up before venturing out into the crispness of fall or winters first snow!
