Can you update us on the progress in Yonkers? When is it scheduled to open?
Looks like Yonkers will be opening in the Fall of 2009. We will be more specific soon. The good news is our opening at Mohegan Sun has been moved up from Summer 2010 to Summer 2009!
should we expect to see coupons or specials up here or some type of loyalty program?
The Yonkers site looks great. I passed it the other day. The building is up and has a great brickface look - right on!! When is it opening? I can’t wait!
Where is that hot Italian guy Francis? Can he ever travel to the Midwest again? Bring me a pizza!
Karen
Pepe’s- might be going to the Mohegan Sun Casino today and of course your mouth watering “special pie w/EVERYTHING” popped into my always hungry mind! Is the restaurant there open as yet?? Do you have a target date.
If you read the site, it will be opened on July 4th!
I can’t wait.
Mark
Never mind Yonkers. When are you going to California?
We go to your Fairfield restaurant regularly. We have three girls with autism. Katie, Dawn and the crew are SO kind to my kids. It’s one of the few places we feel really welcome. And of course, your pizza is the best we’ve ever eaten. Thank you. Now, will you please sell some of your artwork?

THANK YOU!! I am so happy Pepe’s is finally closer to where i live…I just went to Pepe’s @ Mohega Sun, and let me say it was just as good as the original location in New Haven!!
I want to give a huge shout out to Frank Pepe himself (r.i.p) for making the best pizza on the planet, and for sharing it with the rest of us! Also, want to say “Thanks” to his grandkids for continuing to produce the quality product that has truly made me crave it everyday! I can’t express how much Pepe’s Pizza has ment to me!
Thanks to all the Pepe family members too….See you all again real soon and now, thanks to Mohegan Sun, alot more often!!!
the best pizza in the world!!! Gary you need to open a store in barre, vermont, where I live now. Please…..I have been a pepes fan for over 30 years.
I was in Boston’s North End this week and tried their famous Pizzeria Regina.
My family and I ordered the original North End recipe and a mozzarella and sausage pie. Having been weaned on Pepe’s, Sally’s and Modern pies in New Haven, CT (the Holy Trinity of Pizza) we were curious to see how Regina compared. While the pies were very good and the atmosphere of the restaurant similar to Pepe’s (frenetic but NOT tired) we felt the pizza was not all that unique and not in the same league as a Pepe or Sally pie. We also found it curious that they state on their box that they are the oldest pizzeria in New England, having opened in 1926. I guess that means they don’t consider Connecticut part of New England because Frank Pepe opened in New Haven in 1925 and has had a line out the door ever since! PS: if you are ever in New Haven (or now at Mohegan Sun Casino) try Pepe’s Original Tomato Pie - just fresh tomato sauce and grated cheese on their awesome crust -yum!…Gotta go get some now! Bye!
Okay, lets be clear…there is no pizza on earth that can compare to the pizza you will eat at Pepe’s or the Spot next door. Unfortunately,I have to say that the pizza isn’t the same at the other locations. Perhaps its the age of the ovens in New Haven, I don’t know for sure, but trust me it doesn’t taste the same.
