Okay, lets be clear...there is no pizza on earth that can compare to the pizza you will eat at Pepe's or the Spot next door. Unfortunately,I have to say that the pizza isn't the same at the other locations. Perhaps its the age of the ovens in New Haven, I don't know for sure, but trust me it doesn't taste the same. :(

There is only one half decent place here where I live, yet it pales in comparison to you guys'!! :(

I was in Boston's North End this week and tried their famous Pizzeria Regina.
My family and I ordered the original North End recipe and a mozzarella and sausage pie. Having been weaned on Pepe's, Sally's and Modern pies in New Haven, CT (the Holy Trinity of Pizza) we were curious to see how Regina compared. While the pies were very good and the atmosphere of the restaurant similar to Pepe's (frenetic but NOT tired) we felt the pizza was not all that unique and not in the same league as a Pepe or Sally pie. We also found it curious that they state on their box that they are the oldest pizzeria in New England, having opened in 1926. I guess that means they don't consider Connecticut part of New England because Frank Pepe opened in New Haven in 1925 and has had a line out the door ever since! PS: if you are ever in New Haven (or now at Mohegan Sun Casino) try Pepe's Original Tomato Pie - just fresh tomato sauce and grated cheese on their awesome crust -yum!...Gotta go get some now! Bye!

I just want to say all my life I've grown up on Pepe's pizzia. The main location on Wooster Street and it's annex The Spot which carries the overload of the main Pepe's on Wooster Street, Fairfield, Mohegan Sun none will disappoint let me tell you. The history of the family, the pizzia so happy it will carry on for generations to come. Oh the mixed green salad at Mohegan was a nice added touch. Anymore would be too much and would take away from tradition. Did I mention the great tasting awesome Foxon Park soda to wash it all down with. Yum!!! Next Manchester still have not been to then New York this fall. Congrats Pepes!

Visited the new Pepe's on Monday, already have the phone # on speed-dial. During the Summer we live 15 mins away. (loyal Pepe’s customer that visits New Haven twice a month during the winter). Had a great experience and two great pie’s. Mozzarella and cheese and the Veggie. The original(New Haven) tends to be a little crispier but no complaints here.

By far this is already the best pizza in Southeast Connecticut.

Just park your car in the winter garage and there you are: paradise. Don’t know where you are going to put the line that will form once everybody makes this place a destination?

Hey any chance getting Libby's Italian Pastry Shop to expand next door? Now we’re Looking for fresh Italian pastry and Italian ice…

Wish you the greatest success.. Ciao

Went to the Mohegan Sun Pepe's today. Just as great as I had hoped it would be. Easy to get to and from, a great smell as you get close to the kitchen, and the ability to see the pizza chefs do their magic. I ordered a salad, a White Clam Pizza, a Mozzerella and Sauce Pizza, and a Sausage and Pepperoni. All three were great, and even better was when the staff told me they made a mistake and accidentally made me two clam pizzas, but they were still going to make me the cheese pizza I ordered and give me the clam pizza for free!!!!! FANTASTIC service and definitely a great experience. You guys are going to do so well there, and I'm just happy that I only have to drive five minutes to get Pepe's pizza now and don't have to go and drive all the way to New Haven anymore!
